I no longer restart my OS like I used to unless an install of any major core software MUST FORCE ME (via nag boxes) to since restarting an OS is what was wrong with previous versions of older OS's that were not 64-bit congruent. SERIOUSLY, Magix are you people starving for bandwidth over there in Germany or something? What is this? 1996 all over again? Do I need to install a MODEM? Increase the download pipe, you dorks! Jeebus!īoth the 204 and the 233 versions of Movie Studio works with Windows 11 just fine. The stupid pipe to download it from Magix however was chucking away at 64kb pieces so I thought I would get it finished downloading by the time Magix version 25 came out. Once I installed Vegas Movie Studio Platinum version 17.0.0.204, the update from Magix detected the version after activating it and asked if I wanted to download the new version 17 update (496MB download of version 233) which I did. I think I am getting spoiled now and will expect this in the future! Windows 11 is a beast of stability and NOT crashing for any reason. Technically, this chain is branched off the Beta channel but it is so stable and so reliable that I am quite shocked that Microsoft finally beat their curse of every other OS being stable. The Beta version chain is MORE STABLE and the one I went with since stability is key to working with any OS. The "21H2" branch of software development stems from the Beta version and the "21H1" stems from the Developers version. This is as specific as I can get if you check your SYSTEM > ABOUT specifications. I have version 22000.194 of Windows 11 and the recent patch Microsoft released brought the version up to 22000.282 The version of the OS package is also the 21H2 development chain of Win 11 Pro. I am running Windows 11 and it starts Vegas Movie Studio Platinum for me.
